Megan Hirner

Megan Hirner is PhD candidate in the Department of Comparative Literature with the University at Buffalo. Her research focuses on the question of writing feminine subjectivity in the context of psychoanalytic theory and the works of Marguerite Duras and Virginia Woolf. 

During her studies, Megan has taught undergraduate courses in academic writing composition and comparative literature. She has also worked as a writing consultant for her university's Center for Excellence in Writing. In addition to her work with Process, she served as co-editor for the inaugural issue of Penumbr(a): A Journal of Psychoanalysis & Modernity.

Megan also holds an M.A. in Comparative Literature from the University at Buffalo and a B.A. in Media Production with a minor in French Language & Literature from Buffalo State University.
