Lauren Jo Alicandro is a multimedia producer, writer, and educator. She earned her MA in English at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, where she works as a lecturer teaching in the Composition Program. She also serves as the administrator for the Tufts English Graduate Program, supporting students as they complete dissertations covering a range of historical periods, authors, and critical discourses. Her own non-fiction work has been published in Harvard Book Store's Around the World: An Anthology of Travel Writing and in publications by GBH News. In 2019, she was awarded the Bertoff Prize for Excellence in Composition Studies for her thesis that focused on aural texts and multimodal pedagogy.
