Celeste Oon is a Master’s student in Cinema and Media Studies at the University of Southern California, where she specializes in Internet, Fandom/Audience, and Stardom Studies. Broadly, she analyzes online communities and subcultures, the ways that digital citizens build power and intimacy in their networks, and users’ relationships to the platforms they inhabit.

At USC, she works as a departmental TA and Writing Center consultant, where she provides feedback on student papers and coaches them through the writing process. On top of her coursework, she has written articles for academic and journalism publications, and is well-versed with various forms of writing. In her spare time, she enjoys engaging in public scholarship and media production forms such as podcasting.
